Description

Edwardian Mahogany Satinwood Banded Cupboard Base Bookcase by Waring & Gillow. The stepped cornice decorated with Greek Key mouldings over satinwood banded frieze. The pair of astragal glazed doors with line inlaid frames opening to 3 adjustable shelves each having double strung fronts. The brass lock inscribed Squires Locks made for Waring & Gillow. The side stiles having double chequer stringing. The base with moulded edge to top over pair of mahogany lined drawers with satinwood banded edges and brass open fret oval plates and drop handles. The pair of cupboard doors having line inlaid frames 1/4 veneered panels with central flared mahogany ovals and satinwood banded edges. Single shelf to the interior. The side stiles again with chequer stringing. All on plinth base.
