Description

Small Glazed Edwardian Mahogany Antique Bookcase

Dating from ca. 1900 and of nice smaller proportions this Glazed Edwardian Mahogany Antique Bookcase has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with moulded glazing bars and key with working lock. The interior is later painted and has three fixed shelves. The lower section has a rectangular molded top above two beautifully figured doors with key and working lock and the interior has one shelf. This fine bookcase stands on shaped bracket feet, splits into two sections for removal and the Mahogany has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
