A delightful Victorian, solid silver box. The lid is decorated with lovely reousse work and is hinged at the back. The body is decorated with a wrythen design. When opened the gilt washed interior is revealed. Clear hallmarks are visible on the base of the box for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1892 and maker''s mark for the silversmith Joseph Whitten.
