Stunning Gothic Arch Silver Toast Rack London 1911

An exceptionally fine, solid silver toast rack. Designed in a most fabulous gothic arch style, the rack has 4 good sized compartments (would fit a variety of slice sizes ) and sits nicely level on a good solid base, supported on four neat feet. It has a particulary nicely shaped handle crowning the top, all culminating in a most attractive item. Made from a good heavy gauge silver it feels a solid weight when picked up by the handle. Clearly defined hallmarks can be seen on the feet to one side of the toast rack for the London Assay Office with a date mark of 1911 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the maker''s marks for the silversmiths: Jay Richard Attenborough Co
