A very fine solid silver card tray, oval in shape and sitting on four neat feet. The proportions of this tray are superb and it is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The finish is plain polished silver with no engravings or embossing, with a raised edge. Underneath the tray are the very clear and distinct marks for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1927 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. There are clear maker''s marks for the renowned Silversmith: Theodore Rossi (whose family were famous silversmiths from Norwich who started working as Silversmiths in 1795 under the name of George Rossi). It is also stamped ''Rossi Norwich''.
