Description

Circa 1860, marquetry-inlaid, burr walnut cabinet bookcase. The glazed upper section has a moulded cornice and floral marquetry inlaid cavetto frieze, with its shaped, original glazing to the marquetry inlaid doors. Inside are adjustable, inlaid shelves. The base has a full-length inlaid frieze drawer over marquetry inlaid panelled doors. It stands on a moulded base and cross banded, enclosed plinth.
