Unusual French Oak Glazed Victorian Antique Bookcase

This unusual French glazed Victorian antique bookcase circa, 1880 has a moulded cornice with decorative lion head carvings above four glazed doors with moulded edges and key with working lock. Each interior comprises of one shelf. This charming piece stands on a moulded plinth and has beautifully turned column sides and splits into two sections for easy removal.

The oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Depth : 36cm / 14 inches
