An exceptionally good set of solid silver cased teaspoons. The spoon handles are a lovely simple pattern with a neat, slightly scalloped border around the edges . The back of the spoons are very clearly hallmarked for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark of 1938, along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The silversmith''s maker''s mark is also visible for Atkin Brothers.

These spoons come in the original black leatherette case, which when opened reveals a deep navy blue velveteen pad on which the spoons sit, with cream satin on the inside of the lid.

Condition: These spoon are in great antique condition. The case opens and closes perfectly and the inside is nice and clean (there are a few stains to the cream satin commensurate with age. The outside of the case in in very good condition (slightly worn at the corners with a few marks to the leatherette, again commensurate with age which we mention for accuracy).
