Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

An extremely stylish Victorian, silver box. The rectangular shaped box is a lovely plain polished silver with initials engraved on the top (these initials could be deemed a pattern). The lid is hinged and when opened reveals a lovely cedarwood lining with 2 compartments. The base of the box is leather covered.

Clear hallmarks are visible on the side of the inside lip of the box for the London Assay Office with a date mark of 1895 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The maker’s marks are for ‘FH’

A very fine box - a good solid heavy weight. Perfect for jewels and trinkets.

Condition: This box is in great antique condition. There are a couple of very minor dents on the back of the box that we mention for accuracy only and are hardly noticeable.
