A very pretty, circular shaped, cut and etched glass jar with silver lid, of lovely proportions: it is a nice large size. The base is etched in a lovely pattern and the fine quality of the silversmith is evident in the beautiful engraved silver lid, decorated with swags and bows The lid lifts off and slips on perfectly. Clear hallmarks are visible on the side of the silver lid for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1920, along with the Lion Passant for sterling silver and marks for the silversmith W.G.Sothers Ltd
