A very fine Edwardian solid silver photograph frame. Rectangular in shape, the frame has a lovely simple border (see images) that enhances the overall appearance. The back of the frame is covered in a dark sage green velvet material. Clear hallmarks are visible on the side of the frame for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1910 and Lion Passant to indicate sterling silver. Maker''s marks are also visible for the Silversmiths Horton & Allday. The aperture for the frame is a good practical size for a photograph being 18.2 cm x 12cm approx.
Condition: This frame is in great antique condition. There are some very minor dents to the frame commensurate with age that we mention only for accuracy, they do not detract in anyway from the appearance of the piece.
