Spectacular Figured Mahogany Large Antique Victorian Library Bookcase

Of superb quality, this spectacular library bookcase dates from around 1860 in the Victorian era. It has a moulded cornice above three glazed doors with arched mouldings and beautiful carved corbels and each interior comprises of three adjustable shelves. The lower section has a low waist (sign of true quality) with a rectangular moulded top above four cupboard doors with beautifully figured panels, scrolled corbels and each interior has one removable shelf. This spectacular antique stands on a moulded plinth and splits into two sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
