Description

This is a fine Edwardian period Sheraton revival mahogany bookcase of elegant proportions with exceptional satinwood inlaid decoration. The bookcase top has a pierced trellis work swan neck pediment with rosette terminals above a dentil and flowerhead frieze. The astragal glazed doors enclose adjustable shelves inside. The doors to the base are superbly inlaid with fine griffins surrounded by amazing scroll and flower detail. There is also a shelf to the lower cabinet and the piece is raised on bracket feet. This measures 216 cms high 92.5 cms wide by 40 cms deep and is in excellent order throughout.
