Pair Of George II Silver Salts London 1743

An exquisite pair of very fine, George II silver salts. These salts are beautifully designed: Each sits on three attractive feet. There is a very delicately engraved armorial of a rearing bird, probably a Swan, to the front of each of the salts. The insides of the salts are a lovely golden gilt. Clear hallmarks and maker''s marks are visible on the base.
 
 
 
Condition: Both of these salts are in great used condition.
 
 
 
Hallmarks: London 1743. Maker: Edward Wood (Master to David Hennell).

Diameter width at widest part: 7.9cm approx
