Description:
Here is a fine quality antique Regency style mahogany waterfall bookcase, with small delightful proportions, constructed in the late Victorian / early Edwardian period, circa 1900, in good original condition.
The single cock-beaded drawer has been constructed with hand dovetail joints and pine lined sides; it retains its original Regency circular brass hands and escutcheons. The bookcase stands on a moulded plinth and retains its original bracket feet and original backboards.
Condition Report:
This bookcase is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant, considering the age of the item. The single drawer is free running, closes flush to the frame and retains its original Regency brass handles and escutcheons. The bookcase stands on its original bracket feet and retains its original backboards. As the bookcase boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.
