An exquisite and perfectly designed, very unusual solid silver Vesta case in a rare Bean shape. Lovely engine turned pattern to both the front and the back and hinged on one side; the lid opens and closes perfectly. There is a loop on one side for attachment to a fob or chatalaine. A circular unengraved cartouch sits in the very centre of the Vesta. When opened clear hallmarks are visible on the inside lip of the Vesta for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1920, and the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the silversmith''s maker''s mark for Henry Williamson Ltd.
