Heavy Gauge Silver Napkin Ring London 1899

A most attractive, Victorian solid silver napkin ring. nicely decorative with fine fret cut design and an empty circular cartouch in the centre. The width of the napkin graduates upwards toward the centre making the front of the ring slightly taller than the back.
 
It is an extremely heavy gauge silver weighting 42.11 grams!
 
Clear hallmarks are visible on the front just above the cartouch, for the London Assay Office with a date mark of 1899, along with the maker''s mark for William Richard Corke.
 
The napkin comes in an antique maroon coloured box, with jeweller''s name printed on the interior ''J.H.Heals, 110 St James St, Newport (this might not be the original box).
 
Finest quality silver associated with a fine maker!
