Very fine, Edwardian, solid silver stamp case, in the form of an envelope, nicely plain with no engravings. The hinged lid opens to allow placement of stamps inside. On the right hand side is a loop for attachment. Clear hallmarks are visible on the front of the case, for the Chester Assay Office and a date mark for 1915. There are also maker''s marks, for the silversmiths: A E Jenkins
Condition: This stamp case is in nice antique condition. The hinge works perfectly. There are a few dimples on the back and front of the case commensurate with age that we mention for accuracy (see images).
Hallmarks: Chester 1915 by A E Jenkins
Measurements: 2.2 cm x 3.0 cm approx. (including loop).
Weight: 4.26 grams approx.
