Silver Apostle Salt Spoons Sheffield 1881

A pretty pair of Victorian, solid silver salt spoons, decorated with Apostles. The spoons have a lovely twisted handle with an Apostle at the top. Clear hallmarks are visible on the back of each spoon for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark of 1881 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The maker’s mark is also very clearly on each for the silversmiths: Martin Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall). Each spoon is a good heavy gauge silver.
 
Condition: Both these spoons are in excellent antique condition.
