A rare, superb, solid silver Cigar Rest. The shape is perfect to rest one''s cigar, whatever the size! with a lovely circular ashtray bowl at one end and a channel in which to rest the cigar. Simply polished silver; there are no engravings or embossing, just a neat rim around the edge to enhance the visible aesthetics of the item. It has two attractive and neat curly feet at the channel end to allow the rest to stand firmly on the same level. Very clear hallmarks are visible on the underneath for the Chester Assay Office with a date mark for 1924 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver.
