Superb Silver Pickle Fork Sheffield 1905

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

A really superb, Edwardian, solid silver Pickle Fork. The terminal is handsomely engraved around the edge, and has a neat and most attractive pierced top (see image 2). The prongs are in Trident form, making the overall appearance very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The back of the pickle fork is not engraved and is a lovely simple polished silver. Very clear and crisp hallmarks are visible on the back of the terminal for The Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1905, along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, and the maker''s mark for C.W. Fletcher and Son Ltd (Charles William Fletcher).

An extremely fine item!
