Globe Wernicke Mahogany Five Section Stacking Bookcase, C.1900

A good quality solid mahogany stacking or barrister’s bookcase made by ''The Globe-Wernicke Co. Ltd, London’ circa 1900.  With a rolled top above five bookcase sections each with a lift and slide glass door with original brass knob handles and concealed scissor action mechanism. This is the superior model of this popular bookcase and has metal straps with clips to the side of each section and a drawer fitted in the plinth base.  
 
These bookcases can be very easily moved as each section can be separated from the next. It is also possible to add/remove sections from other Wernicke bookcases to suit your needs. In good condition with no breaks and the doors lifting as they should. It has marks consistent with useage as should be expected for its age.
