George III Silver Child's Mug C.1810 By Charles Boyton

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

An original George III, 18th century child''s / christening mug. The design of the mug is archetypal George III, in a tapered cylindrical shape with a double reeded design on the body and a nicely shaped handle to the side.

Condition: The hallmarks are rubbed, (see images), however, the Crowned Lion is apparent indicating pre-1821 and the date letter appears to be a capital letter.

It is slightly off round when standing and has some minor age related imperfections commensurate with age. The light gilt interior wash is still apparent.
