Superb Edwardian Silver Cream Jug London 1910

A superb, Edwardian, solid silver cream jug, beautifully designed in helmet form and sitting on a neat square base. The polished silver has no embossing or engraving apart from a charming pattern around the edge. The proportions are superb. It has a charming loop handle to one side perfectly enhancing the profile. Hallmarks for the London Assay office are visible on the body of the jug as well as the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and a date mark for 1910. The maker''s marks for SW Smith & Co are also visible.
