Substantial Silver Ladle By George Adams London 1853

A truly magnificent, early Victorian, heavy gauge, solid silver ladle. Wonderful proportions, the ladle length is 33.5 cm. A feather-type decorated edge, runs down to a plain deep bowl . On the back of the handle are very clear and distinct hallmarks for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1853 and the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver along with the marks for the renowned maker: George Adams.
