Solid Silver Square Vesta Case Birmingham 1901

An exquisite late Victorian, solid silver Vesta case, unusually square in shape. Beautifully engraved with an attractive geometric and floral decoration to both the front and back, with a nice plain polished corner either side. Hinged on one side the lid opens and closes perfectly . The case has clear hallmarks visible on the inside lip of the vesta for the Birmingham Assay Office, with a date mark for 1901 and the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the silversmith''s maker''s mark for Arthur Cook.
 
 
 
Condition: This Vesta is in lovely antique condition.
