A very handsome, solid silver Christening set in the original case, comprising Egg Cup, Spoon and Napkin ring. All the pieces are hallmarked for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark of 1927. The Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and the maker''s marks for Docker and Burn Ltd are also visible. The style of the set is plain polished silver. All of the three pieces are in great antique condition. There are some very slight superficial scratches to the highly polished silver, commensurate with age and mentioned for accuracy.Because the silver is polished, reflections in the images may detract from the true representations of the silver. The set comes in the original black leatherette case with a cream silk and black velvet interior.
