Small Edwardian Satinwood Waterfall Front Bookcase

A very good quality Sheraton revival waterfall bookcase in satinwood with ormolu mounts.The bookcase is of a very small size, but perfectly proportioned. The bookcase stands on short french splay legs with the original gilded castors. The bookcase has an elegant tiered waterfall profile, all edged with gilded ormolu moulding. The adjustable shelves are slightly rounded in shape and also edged with ormolu moulding. The whole is a very stylish understated quality design, with satinwood of a lovely golden colour with excellent figuring. The whole is in good condition with some old repair to the legs. C.1900
