This is an exquisite and wonderfully petite, solid silver Victorian pill box. The repousse work on the lid of the box is of the finest quality. The lid pulls off to reveal a lovely golden gilded finish. Hallmarks are visible on the rim of the lid and also on the underneath of the box for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1898 and maker''s marks for the renowned silversmiths S Blankcensee & Son Ltd.
Condition: This pill box is in great antique condition.
