A most unusual solid silver Victorian pill box. Circular in shape, the pill box has a particularly attractive fluted design on the lid (quite unusual for the Victorian era). The lid pulls off, where the nice lemony gilding underneath the lid is exposed. Clear hallmarks for The Birmingham Assay Office are visible, along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and the date mark for 1890. The maker''s mark is also visible for Miller Bros. (Slightly rubbed hallmarks can also be seen on the outside edge of the lid, along with a pattern number .)
Condition: This pill box is in great antique condition.
Hallmarks: Birmingham 1890 made by Miller Bros.

Weight: 19.81 grams approx.
