Cased Pair Of Silver Pagoda Peppers London 1904

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

A very fine pair of most unusual silver peppers in a lovely Pagoda style. The design of these peppers is wonderful, graduating from the larger base up to a smaller top, all in a Pagoda style. The shape is tactile to hold. Both of these Peppers have clear hallmarks visible on the base for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1904 along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The Maker''s Marks are also clear for Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd. These hallmarks can also be seen on the side of each pot. They come in the original brown leatherette case, with a red satin and velvet interior. (The case is marked in places and the open/close button no longer works well , commensurate with age).

Condition: The Pepper pots are in great antique condition. One of the pots does have very slight denting on the top which we mention for accuracy only.
