Heart Shaped Silver Topped Glass Pot Birmingham 1902

A pretty heart shaped Edwardian silver topped and cut glass trinket pot of lovely proportions. The heavy glass base is a hob nail cut glass and the underneath has a pretty star shape cut within. The fine quality of the silversmith is evident in the beautiful repousse lid, ornately decorated with flora with a small polished silver empty cartouch in the centre. Clear hallmarks are visible on the inside lip of the silver top for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1902 and the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. Maker''s marks for William Henry Leather are also very clear.
Condition: This pot is in great antique condition.
