Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The stone is secured in an eight-claw collet above a scalloped plate which rests in an open-backed cup. Six round old cut diamonds (three each side) are set in the shoulders, leading to a slim platinum shank.

Cut – Cushion shaped old mine cut (with round old mine cuts in the shoulders).
Colour – G in the centre. (F to I in the shoulders.)
Clarity – VS1. (SI1 to I1 in the shoulders).

Carat – 1.06 in the centre, with a further approximate 0.20 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1925.
Size – K (UK) or 5 1/8 (US) . Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The diamond is approximately 5.9 x 5.5mm. The head of the ring is 11.4mm in diameter and sits 7.6mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum. Tested.
