Silver Berry Spoon London 1819 By William Bateman

A truly exquisite, early solid silver berry spoon made in the Regency period. The silversmith''s work is of the highest quality, which can be seen on the bowl of the spoon which is highly decorated with fruits, berries and flowers. The handle is equally exquisite with lovely floral decoration. The back of the spoon handle bears clear hallmarks of the Lion Passant for sterling silver and the Leopard''s Head for the London Assay office with a date mark: 1819 along with the maker''s mark for the renowned and very collectible silversmith: William Bateman.
 
 
 
Condition: This Berry spoon is in great antique condition. There are no dents or dings to the silver. The spoon is not misshappen in any way. The hallmarks and maker''s marks are very clear and crisp.
