Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
It has a moulded cornice with stunning blind fretwork carved edge above two astragal glazed doors with key with working lock, the interior has three adjustable shelves. The lower section has two beautifully figured cupboard doors again with key with working lock and the interior has one adjustable shelf. The sides are reeded and the piece as a whole stands on ogee bracket feet and splits into two sections for easy removal. The walnut has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
