A superior quality Victorian figured mahogany secretaire bookcase. The upper section with a moulded and figured mahogany cross banded cornice above two arched and glazed doors with well carved corbels. The doors open to an interior of 3 adjustable shelves each retaining worn tooled leather dust covers. The lower section with a secretaire drawer which opens to reveal a well fitted interior with 2 banks of 3 drawers, a central drawer, 4 pigeon holes and original red leather writing surface. Below are 2 matching doors with figured mahogany panels and the whole standing on an off set plinth base.
