Decorative Victorian Silver Pepper Pot London 1897

A very decorative, beautifully engraved and embossed, solid silver Pepper Pot, with attention to the smallest of detail seen in the craftmanship of the Silversmith, and with an empty scroll design cartouch in the very centre. The pot top pulls off where hallmarks and maker''s marks are revealed on the inside lip: showing the Leopard''s head of the London Assay Office along with the Lion Passant (sterling silver), and date mark for 1897. Maker''s marks are also visible for William Henry Skinner. One side of the exterior of the centre section of the pot also cleary shows these hallmarks and maker''s marks. (See photos).
 
 
 
Condition: This Pepper Pot is in great antique condition. The top pulls off well and fits back on nice and firmly. No dents or tarnishing are visible to the silver.
