Description

A most attractive high quality late Victorian open bookcase. This beautiful floorstanding example has an overhanging moulded-edge rectangular top over an arrangement of three adjustable-height mahogany-lipped shelves supported on a plain plinth base. The timbers used retain their original finish with a rich, warm colour and patination. These useful shelves – usable in any room in the house – are English, c.1880s/c.1890s.
