Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

A very fine and extremely attractive, Victorian silver sovereign holder. Both the front and the back of the case are beautifully engraved and the front has an empty cartouch. The case opens with a nice spring action push button at the top and there is a good sized loop for attaching. Inside is the space for holding the sovereigns. Very clear hallmarks and maker''s marks are visible on the inside of the case as well as on the top button: Birmingham 1899 by Alfred Wigley.

A stunning item!
