Size: 2ft 1in x 2ft 4in (63 x 70cm). Face size.

Antique Baluch saddle bag with plain weave back. Western Afghanistan.

Circa 1880.

The saddle bag is of well known 'star and octagon' design. The field is filled with many tribal design elements. The bag is complete with its original plain weave back, this is decorated with bands of weft work. The bag has been opened for display.

The saddle bag is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and full pile. There is some corrosion.

The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
