Silver & Tortoiseshell WWI Army Service Corps Sweetheart Brooch

1900 - 1920
Description

A very fine, solid silver and tortoiseshell, Word War I era, Sweetheart Brooch with the Royal Army Service Corps crest in silver inset into the tortoiseshell background. Fully hallmarked on the back for London 1915. There is also a maker's mark but it runs off the side of the silver (it has not been rubbed - it looks like it was mis-stamped when made).

 

CONDITION (see photos):

In very good condition commensurate with age.

 

MEASUREMENTS:

Diameter: 2.75 cms approx.

Weight: 3.29 grams approx.
