This Quality Victorian Mahogany Antique Bookcase on Cupboard circa, 1860 has an out swept moulded cornice above two glazed doors with elegant scrolled carved corners, beautifully carved corbels and key with working lock.
Beneath are two spectacular figured cupboard doors again with quality scrolled carvings and corbels. The interior benefits from one fixed shelf and the piece as a whole stands on a plain plinth and splits into three sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
