Sensational Mellow Mahogany Victorian Antique Bookcase on Cupboard

Constructed from the Finest Quality Mahogany Timbers, This Victorian Antique Bookcase on Cupboard is truly sensational and dates from around 1850. With a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with arched mouldings and key with working lock and the interior has three adjustable shelves. The top is beautifully figured with a half round moulded edge above a concealed frieze drawer. The two cupboard doors are also beautifully figured with moulded edges and key with working lock and the interior comprises of one shelf. The piece as a whole stands on a plain plinth and splits into two sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a lovely mellow shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
