Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

This is a large solid silver jewellery casket standing on four feet with a stunning engraved floral design on the lid which has a beaded rim. It is lined with a deep blue/purple velvet with lighter blue piping. It bears hallmarks for London 1905 and the maker''s mark for William Comyns & Sons.

Measurements: 16.5 x 11.8 x 4.5 cms approx.

Weight: 237 grams approx.

CONDITION (see photos):

In good condition commensurate with age. The hallmarks on the main casket are good and clear, those on the lid are a little more rubbed but still legible. There are some slight dings and some slight discolouration to the silver surface in a few places as well as a little very superficial scratching / cleaning marks. There is a possible repair to the front foot but overall this remains a very attractive and desirable piece.
