An early 20th century oak open bookcase, with a small moulded cornice to the later upper section, ogee moulded top to the base section and on a low plinth base. The shelves, which are all fixed, will display just over 38ft (11.5m) of books. In good condition with marks consistent with age and useage, the top is an old addition with a stained plywood back and light marks where labels had been applied to the shelves. The base section has a polished quarter sawn oak top and could be used without the top.
