Quality Victorian Walnut Antique Secretaire Bookcase

Dating from Around 1880 In The Victorian Era, This Quality Walnut Antique Secretaire Bookcase has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with reeded edges and key with working lock. The interior has three adjustable shelves, ideal for storage; the lower section has a beautifully figured moulded top above a deep secretaire drawer with the original arts and crafts brass handles. The drawer folds down to reveal a green baize writing surface, six small drawers and four pigeon holes. Below are two cupboard doors with beautifully figured reeded edges and working lock and the interior has one removable shelf. This splendid antique stands on a moulded plinth and splits into two sections for easy removal. The walnut has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
