Bookcase Display Pier Cabinet Victorian Ebonised and Inlaid Amboyna C1870

Here we have a fine quality Victorian ebonised and inlaid pier cabinet display or bookcase c1870. As you can see the cabinet has super colour and patina. There is a silky smooth ebonised top which is overslung and has stepped moulding beneath. There is a band of inlaid Amboyna above a beautiful inlaid central motif. There is a decorative ormolu mounted bead and ormolu mounts to the sides. The same inlaid motif is replicated down the sides as is the Amoyna band to the top of the bracket base. The cabinet retains the original working lock and key with a stunning strip of ormolu to the edge of the door. Internally there are two shelves and the original velvet backing. A fine quality period cabinet in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 43 inches high 43 wide and 13 deep.
