Magnificent Huge Beautifully Figured Mahogany William IV Antique Library Bookcase

Made and stamped by The Renowned Cabinet Maker John Taylor and Son, Edinburgh and constructed from the finest quality mahogany timbers, this eye catching library bookcase dates from around 1830. With a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with moulded edges, side pilasters and key with working lock. The interior has three adjustable shelves and provide ample storage for all those books. The lower section has a moulded top above two cupboard doors with moulded edges and key with working lock, and each interior has one adjustable shelf. This breath taking antique stands on a plain plinth and splits into two sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
