FINEST QUALITY EARLY VICTORIAN SILVER & CUT GLASS DRESSING TABLE BOX, THOS. JOHNSON I, LONDON 1859
This is a very fine, early Victorian, cut glass dressing table box with a solid silver top. The design of the silver top is slightly fret. The top is not hinged and comes off the base completely. It bears clear maker’s mark for Thos. Johnson I and is hallmarked London 1859 on the underneath of the lid. In the centre there is a roaring lion crest.
The base is cut glass in a ''square'' design (see photos).
Condition: Excellent used condition.
Dimensions: 96.7 mm x 38.3 mm x 36.6 mm
Weight: 185 grams
