Georgian Antiques has dated this piece to the 1870s.
Below this are four glazed arched doors, with carved open sections on the top. Inside each section are several adjustable shelves giving an extraordinary storage capacity. At each end of the bookcase is a fielded panel in the form of a recessed pilaster. Beneath the doors are multiple ogee mouldings and the whole piece stands on an enclosed plinth. The bookcase breaks down into several pieces for ease of movement.
